Mountain Baby EcoWipes Solution™ Kit Instructions
Cloth Wipes
Add 1 level teaspoon (8-10 flakes) Mountain Girl Botanics Soap Flakes to 4 cups hot water and agitate to
dissolve. When cooled, dispense 2-3 pumps Lavender & Calendula Oil into soap solution. Add solution as
needed to a wipes container/warmer, spray bottle or travel bottle. Shake gently and always test temperature
before use. Apply to cloth wipe and clean baby. Discard any unused solution and make a new batch after one
week. Launder soiled cloths with your diapers. To keep skin healthy, follow cleansing with Mountain Baby Butt
Balm.
Paper Towel Wipes
Two methods work well. A) Cut a roll of paper towels in half (a serrated electric knife will help) and remove the
inner cardboard roll. Pull a towel up from the center to dispense. Place your cut paper towels in a leak proof
container. Prepare solution as above and add 2 cups to your paper towel roll. Or B) simply add solution to a
travel bottle or wipes warmer and dispense solution onto single paper towels as you go.
To refill 4 ounce travel bottle: Either refill with pre-made solution or place 2-3 Mountain Girl Botanics Soap
Flakes and one pump Lavender & Calendula Oil in the bottle. Fill with water. Shake.
Helpful Hints
- The formula above is a guideline only. Adjust it to your preferences. If you like a more sudsy solution,
add a few extra Soap Flakes to your batches. Baby has really dry skin? Add an extra pump of Lavender
& Calendula Oil.
- You can use cold water to formulate--the flakes will just take a little longer to dissolve. It is perfectly fine
to use the solution before the flakes have completely dissolved.
- Feel free to make smaller or larger batches if you like to have fresher solution on hand or if you tend to
use it up faster.
- Our Lavender & Calendula Oil makes an excellent bath and massage oil--simply order a refill if you use
yours up more quickly than the Soap Flakes.
