Our Focus on Preemies
On January 5, 2006 my best friend went into labor... really early labor. She delivered an incredibly
tiny boy considered a "micro-preemie" and it's a miracle he survived. Two months later, his twin
sister was born, also a preemie. I'm happy to report that now they are thriving twins and are doing
great. I'm so lucky share in my friend's experience with her preemies, and this experience has
given me some insight into the special challenges faced by parents with preemies. My goal is to
offer parents, family, and friends of preemies a selection of products that fit the unique needs of
micro-preemies (1-3 lbs.) and preemies (3-6 lbs).
As Living Earth Babies builds our product selection for preemies, we will be looking for the best
products we can find, as well as creating products to meet the needs of preemies. For example,
there are very few cloth diapers that are sized and shaped for preemies, and priced reasonably.
Living Earth Babies is partnering with Play All Day Gear to create cloth diapers and other diapering
designs that will fit those teeny tiny little bums without putting too much fabric between those
skinny legs.
You can also feel good about purchasing our preemie products because Living Earth Babies will
donate 50% of all profit earned from sales of preemie products to the March of Dimes.
